How I styled my new jeans

Hello,

So it has been a long long time since my last post. But just recently I got my new seven crystal jeans. The detailing on the pockets is very pretty and the fitting is just perfect...

This is how I styled it to a beauty party I had on saturday. I like to keep it simple so whenever I turn you notice only the detailing on my arse ;)

The CurrentCustom Contest entry: Every day look

All pictures courtesy of Google search photo's

I just love Lorraine's beautychannel and since  she started with
the day in the life I am in love with her mom and dad! Truly creative people with a great sence of humor.

This is my entry for another wonderful contest!

Hope you enjoy and thank you Lorraine for this opportunity!

My everyday makeup routine is as follows:

1. I start with my moisturizer, right now I am doing the Dr.Murad 3 steps cure for I have some serious break outs..Uggghhh

2. Then I apply my foundation. I just discovered that the Sephora brand has a really nice foundation that gives me a natural coverage. (Sephora-fond de teint hydratant lissant/non gras D35)

3. After, I use my random conceiler that covers all these bad break outs.

4. On areas that need extra coverage I use a little Helena Rubinstein foundation. (Color clone-Créateur de Teint parfait 32) This color is way to dark for me but for now it covers all the flaws

5. When my makeup is just done I want a matte face, for it has the whole day to get oily and I hate retouching. So I buff my face with a matifying powder. (Clinique-Poudre transparent haute matité 04)

6. And then I apply a little bronzer on my neck, around the jawline and on the forehead. (Avon-Arabian glow bronzing pearls)

7. Some blush on the apples of my cheeck and around the eyebrow. (Clinique-Fard à joues poudre 120)

8. Lip balm. (Rosebud salve)

9. From the eyeshadow quad ofcourse the purple tone on the lid and the highlighter were it belongs. (Versace-Eye shadow duo 81519)

10. Khol eyeliner, some days on the lid or just the waterline or both, depending on my mood. (I bought this in Egypt)

11. Eyebrow gel to hold those darkies in place! (Random)

12. Mascara. (Clinique-Impact optimal 01)

13. Lipstick (MAC- Crème de nude )

My routine stays every month almost the same, only the brands change.

And here the pictures so you can see the results.
Ofcourse we want to be as superficial as possible so I took pictures of different days with same look, different clothes and different shoes.

Shaytards

Oh I remember the day I fell in love with the shaytards. It all started with the shaycarl channel, funny little sketches he put up with his wife. Then suddenly this crazy little fat dude decided to film his whole family( wife and tree kids) for a year long!!! Every day!!!
Each one has a special name ending in tard as in unitard?!! LOL. We have mommytard, sontard, princesstard and babytard and ofcourse daddytard/shay. So cute those kids, I love them. Oh and anothere one is on the way. I cannot wait to see that little tard!!
They lived in Idaho and shay decided to move his family to LA to make video collaborations with other big youtubers. We had fun on the beach, trying to loose weight, going shopping, eating, shooting, swimming, parties, holiday's and watching shay vlog while driving; bringing along some pretty good advices. I love youtube, its a daily drug for me(beauty guru's, jokes, california on, dailynews but my passion must be the shaytards. Just recently the one year was accomplished and it was crazy were we celebrated shay's 30th birthday along with a 30 minutes video. Well, I wasn't there but hey if you watch them for a whole year every day without missing one, then you will understand that I feel part of the shaytards.

Now the year has past but the video's are still coming and I believe shay has some big plans to come. I so do wish them all the best and luck and succes in the world.

I learned so much from shay and enjoyed every single video, was it long or short. His loudness and fatness and family. I laughed, cried and sometimes peed my pants. Now I could not imagine my life on the Internet without the shaytards.

I am looking forward to many many many many more video's to come.

Kill two birds with one stone

Today I want to give one beauty and one fashion tip.

Fashion

Have you noticed that when wearing boots over the time they get "saggy" and start to hang on the side? Well I got the perfect inexpensive solution. For those who love magazines and spend way to much money every month on them (me including). I have good news! Now you can recycle your magazines and keep those booties straight!

Yes you can! Usually when buying boots you tend to throw away all those darn brown papers that are so ugly and messy leaving the boots with no inside protection which makes them hang on the side over the time. Now you can as soon as getting home with those booties role up your fave magazine and stick them into the boots or organize the ones you have standing in your closet. This will keep them straight which makes them last longer and you have a fun way of recycling your mags. Hey whenever you want a recap on last seasons fashions just take the magazine out of your boots and read away!!!!! This is a fashionable way of storing your magazines and conserve those special shoes you so much love.

Beauty
Remember my post about cheap nail polishes? Well now I have found the perfect solution to keep them lasting a whole week!! The fact is that if you buff your nails with the 3/4 step buffers it will make them last much longer and still keep the shine on them. Cheaper then this you cannot get. I cannot explain how this works but I know for SURE that it really works.

This is my 3 step buffer. I paid €2,00 for and they work just fine

My nails all buffed up and ready to be painted; 4 days ago

And now still there, sorry that it's a nude but you get the idea

So now you know, go go go and try these tips out in the comfort of your own home/fashion/beauty boutique!!!

Big day

Tomorrow is a big day for me. I am heading back to a normal job and will be working in an office again after a very long time. Well I think the first week will be pretty hard for me. I need to wake up at 6.00 am and have to be there at 7.45 am. Oh well I finish early and have the rest of the day to do; shopping, groceries, cook a nice helathy dinner and going to the gym( my goal is 2X a week).

I am very happy with this job and have to work really hard for the coming 6 months for a promotion. That is my main goal at this moment.

Oehhh I also bought some really cute and classy/casual outfits to go to work. I might start blogging about my office outfits. It can be an insipiration for some. I got mine from other bloggers.

Well wish me luck and enjoy the rest of this sunday!!!

Our evolution on the Internet

WOW!!! I have been gone for wayyy to long now!! I promise to write more often. I enjoy the whole idea of blogging but also reading other blogs.

Today I want to write about the Internet. Well I have been into this whole online community between blogging, facebook, youtube, twitter and all other in between for a very long time. But lately I have noticed that things are getting CrAzy and out of control.

Exactly two years ago I was writing my final tesis. I did a research on an online community for an online restaurant guide. Well I studied hospitality management, which a business or marketing plan would have been more obvious and easy to do your tesis on, but NO I chose a completely different issue and was really proud of the results. All this hightech shizzle and online things not my thing. But since, I have been hooked to the Internet.

Getting to the point!!! I had to research on how Internet started and developed over the past years were we have reached to web 2.0. This is the second phase meaning that we are more interactive on the Internet compared to the beginning of it.
Internet started just as a network for ARPANET to share the same information with others. Well the history of Internet goes a long way. But look were we are now with it, crazy place right? The evolution of it has been so fast that in my opinion a lot of people cannot keep pase with it or just lose control or take advantage of the situation on Internet.

I really believe Internet killed T.V! For example myself; I barely watch t.v ok its on the whole night but I don't really watch, you know the t.v is just my budy for when I am alone. 90% of my daily information I search on the net: t.v, news, work, school, family, beauty, fashion, shop and so much more.

Actually when looking closer the Internet is just a big brother house. Whenever you get on a website the next thing you are spammed and followed and offered all kind of things. This is the marketing strategy most companies use. Really good, cause most of the times you find what you need because of these "big brother" robots. But where has your privacy gone to? I mean really every every little step you make people can see. Propably someone is here right now as I am typing this. I don't know but might be. Maybe when I am done I get an offer to write a blog about evolution of the Internet. Well you never know when my tesis will come in handy again :)

Anyway its the spamming, we are being overwelmed with so many shopping sites and all the S@#%. But it's so manipulative as you feel the urge to buy from one of those sites, right? I know I do.

For example: I remember last week I saw a dutch ad on facebook for sale on clothing so I clicked. It was a local online store, pretty clothes and at a good price. I just clicked a bit around and said well maybe next week if I remember I will buy something. I am gonna tell you; since that day I get spammed by them every day, like 10 times a day. Making me going back every time to the shop and even if they don't have something I want, I feel the urge to buy anything just because I saw the advertisement 10.000 times. I confess but 30 minutes ago I was on the website and thank god I came to my sences!!! Now I will never visit the site again. I have had it with them and didn't even buy anything yet.

This is just one example of "invasion of privacy" but lets talk about facebook. Almost everyone I know has a facebook, either long time ago or just signed an account last week. It's fun aha; you get in touch with old friends, school friends, meet new people and follow life of loved ones that are far away. I personaly like facebook because of the game mafiawars. I used to play yoville to but naha I got sick of it. Only mafiawars now. I just hate those "ville" requests, hello I already ignored you like 100 times before why still keep sending me those requests, and pfff another thing that whole pillow fight going on now. I mean hellooooo just stop it!!! So annoying!!!! Let's not even talk about the privacy, for the past year facebook has been a lot in the news and even the president of U.S.A got involved talking about privacy issues. I did now set my privacy settings to the highest and only friends can see my personal stuff. But I play mafia wars so a lot of those friends are not really friends. Well I don't want my new employer to go find me on facebook and see all my party pictures or even worse embarrasing pictures I get tagged on the whole time. Hate those ones b.t.w

I see a lot of people trowing their whole lives on facebook not knowing people can check you out and see your every little move you make. I recently deactivated my account but then I tought; I want to keep in touch with family and friends abroad and also a day cannot go by without my mafia wars, so I activated it again.

You see here the social pressure I have? Well online then!!!

Ok now youtube. Two days ago one "famous" youtuber made a video about lurkers. That most of us watchers are lurkers and never leave a comment.

Well first of all youtube videos I see as a show. When I watch T.V shows I don't go and call a station and state my opinion. It is a good thing to interact with the people that way you know what they want, get new friends, share information, etc.

Don't get me wrong I do 80% of the times leave a comment, either a question or just support. But sometimes I feel like rating is enough interaction right. I just want to watch that show in peace. The whole Internet thing is getting to much in your/my face. Everyone has an opinion and wants to let it out so much right in your face.

The whole world wide web can be very interesting and this story can go on and on forever but I believe that there has to be boundaries and people need to realize that we are all not the same. Don't go and chase, stalk me or judge me. Just do your thing and I will do mine.

Each individual has a right to be itself and THAT has to be RESPECTED right here on the Internet!!

Well for that said I have one wish: WORLD PEACE!!! yeahhh cheesy but true. Don't you to? ;)

I want my own Avatar become a Na'vi and live in Pandora

Sooooo Yes yes yes!!!

I too finally saw the movie of the year: Avatar! With two golden globe awards it is def a WIN film. I loved loved loved this movie. For the last month it seemed like everyone but me saw this movie but last week finally it was my turn. A saturday evening date with the boyfriend it was. The movies was packed but packed and it was all sold out. So we decided to wait for an hour and got to the showing of 21.30. The seets weren't that good but I was happy with my popcorn, caramel candy and coke.

Amazed was I with the 3d effect and the silver screening of the teather. Everything seemed so real. The detailing was just wonderful. You can clearly see that a lot of time, effort and money was put in that movie.

My fave fave fave part was the connection with the big birds the Ikran. I believe that it is the most wonderful thing to do. I loved how the whole Na'vi nation was so connected to the nature and how much they appreciate it. Every little piece of plant, dirt or animal has a meaning for living and these Na'vi understand it. The message is clear in the movie that this world is greedy and the only thing we do to each other is destroy one a kind. It is a sad situation but it is the reality.

This movie shows us that we live in a vicious world and always long for that is not ours and are willing to take it with violence. We are far from getting to World peace and a lot has to happen for us to get there, a miracle would really help.

Anyway getting wayyyy to off topic and back to the movie.

I want to pack my bag, create my own Na'vi and move to this huge tree, ride gigantic birds and sleep in a hammac wayyy up in the air!!!

p.s: after seeing a film in 3d I would never go back for the normal screening. In fact I want to buy that blu ray thingy with the 3d glasses for my home teather. Well not quit yet but as soon as I get that amazingggg home teather 3d movie night at my place!!! Yeah baby ;)

Fact

Well there is now prove that the clothes we so much love to touch, try on and buy in stores are filthy filthy with some shocking results.

Researcher Philip Tierno did a research on 14 piece of garmants and the results were SHOCKING!!!!

He even found vaginal smeres on some clothes...ewwwww...

I always but always wash underware that I just bought but not a t-shirt orso. If I find it has an odd smell ofcourse but not all the time.

This discovery won't kill you and either it won't stop you from shopping but maybe it can make you more conscious on a more hygienic lifestyle. Not only wash the clothes you buy but take care of your body; take a shower, put on deo whenever you go shopping. Or anytime actually!!!!

I am no longer a virgin

YES! and by that I mean creme d' nude by mac. I also belong now to the thousands of women all over the world that is in love with this lipstick. It's unbelievable that it took me so long to get this one and now it's defenitely going on my lips every day.

I believe that make up is very personal. Everyone of us has different colors, features or shape. One color can suite me with my tan but someone lighter it could not look just as fab...well the other way around too. Been there! I have seen so many beautiful colors and wanted to try out a few, unfortunately not every color suits me and when that happens the key is to play around with your colors to make it your own and even one color that looks horrible at first you can costumize it with a lipliner, gloss giving you a wonderful result.

But this lipstick will suit everybody. I mean from an orange to a green person. For example when I was at the MAC counter trying out the color, my friend liked it to and she has very light flesh. On me the color had a pink undertone and for here a peachy undertone. I found that so pretty to see and she also. So we both got it.

As soon as I got home I needed to play around with the color a little bit. Here are the results.

This one is the color by itself

And here the playing started with a light brown lipliner and sparkly lipgloss in the middle. LOVE it!

To bad the other pictures came out blurry but I like the peacefulness this one illustrates

Well just play around with your colors and you will see that the results will amaze you and only YOU have that perfect color on the lips. Thank your lipgloss, lipliner or lipstick but the one thing you have to thank the most is the color of your natural lips. It gives that extra touch to it. You know what I mean?

Now rush, go get creme d' nude from MAC!
